I wake up one day on spring break in Sedona,AZ , and my dad convinces me to take a hike with him while my mom and brother is still asleep. We walk out of the hotel room and we walk toward a trail going towards some giant red rocks. On the trail I’m thinking, “What if there is a rattlesnake? What should I do?” During the hike, we climb steep hills. In my head I always think it’s hard when it comes to hills.
In the middle of the hike, my dad stops me for no reason. He points to the trail ahead and we both see a dark bump. Believe it or not, it’s a rattlesnake some 2 feet away from us. Then, we slowly walk back and take off running.
Thinking we are away from the rattlesnake, we stop and we notice we lost the trail. My dad tells me, “Look for some hikers, where there is hikers there is a way out.” 15 minutes later we see some hikers. The hikers decide to help us and they show us the way out. We thank them, and we arrive back to the hotel in time for breakfast.
